Rapid urbanization\, climate change\, growing populations\, and ecosystems degradation suggest the value of new approaches to water infrastructures\, ones that align the goals of resilience\, equity\, ecological responsiveness\, and sufficient and suitable quality water for all. Building upon this challenge and conviction\, Mr. Muller will tease out some of the profound design and design education consequences of integrated and distributed approaches to water supply and treatment in dense urban contexts. By bringing water into the creative ambit\, architects can assume leadership roles in realizing projects that deliver net positive watershed impact.
