Cracking the Code on Fire and Smoke Rated Assemblies
In this course, Maxson Associates will give an overview of the multiple types of fire and smoke separation defined in the International Building Code and the code requirements for their respective opening protection assemblies, as well as the testing of all discussed assemblies. They will also discuss the differing types of solutions found in the marketplace today and how they are compliant/non-compliant with the building code requirements of each wall type referenced in the IBC. The course is intended to give attendees the basic steps in evaluating product test performance against those building code requirements.
