High Pressure Laminate

Durability, certified wood content, and high post-consumer recycled content make HPL a sustainable product for commercial and residential designs. This CEU explores the characteristic of high-pressure laminate that contribute to favorable design and performance attributes in building interiors. We will also look at the standards that demonstrate sustainability in terms of environmental and health impacts and assess the ways that HPL can contribute to green and sustainable building designs that seek certification from LEED, WELL, or other standards.

October’s AIA Winston-Salem Section Lunch took us off-site to the beautiful showroom of Ember Audio + Design! EMBER Audio + Design This locally owned Winston-Salem gem brings together high-performance audio, modern furniture, and thoughtful design.Our session, “Beyond Aesthetics: How Lighting, Materials & Furniture Shape Human Well-Being,” explored how lighting, acoustics, materials, and ergonomics influence our health, comfort, and experience of a space. A big thank you to the Ember team for hosting us and sharing your expertise! How lucky are we to have this local resource in downtown WS!
