This session explores how health care codes, regulations, and design guidelines impact the acoustical comfort of patients, their families, and building occupants. Participants will learn how acoustics has a positive impact on the design of healthcare facilities including hospitals and trauma centers, laboratories, and assistive living facilities.
This year AIAWS is partnering with Crossnore Communities for Children to bring architecture & construction to their kids! We're excited to put on a two-day event--the first being a free-flowing design day where all ideas are possible and the second event where we will build what we've designed in the first event! This is a hands-on opportunity to teach kids about design and construction and the influence our industry has on our community. ![]()
