Pathways to Resilience with CRMCA/NRMCA
*1.5 HSW Hours*
Given the increased frequency of natural disasters, the need to design and build with more resilient materials and methods has become paramount. When we do, we affect the long-term sustainability of a structure, its overall life cycle, and its direct environmental impact. In this course, we will analyze and discuss how building with resilient materials and methods will reduce our carbon footprint, positively affect our environment, and help alter the course of environmental climate change overall.
This year AIAWS is partnering with Crossnore Communities for Children to bring architecture & construction to their kids! We're excited to put on a two-day event--the first being a free-flowing design day where all ideas are possible and the second event where we will build what we've designed in the first event! This is a hands-on opportunity to teach kids about design and construction and the influence our industry has on our community. ![]()
