Designing for Future Energy Trends
2 HSW Hours
As an architect, how can I use the current and future energy trends in the design process to create buildings that can adapt to the future? We will provide an overview of the history of energy generation and how electricity rapidly changed how buildings function. We will explore how architects can prepare for the continuing changes in the industry. We will also discuss the concept of electrification and how utility companies are planning for its future use in their delivery of power with the goal of carbon reduction. We will also touch on regulatory considerations utility companies must address in their planning for future generation, distribution and pricing.
